Deven made words with play dough. He was focussing on slow, controlled movements. What words can you make with play dough?

Koru the Kiwi and Brenda visited us today. They presented Mrs Scott with a certificate to Hope School for participating in the Swim Safe programme. We are practicing some of the new skills we learned with Brenda during our class lessons.

Fun in the Sun

Today we had fun learning new class games. One of the fitness activities was knee tag. The aim is to keep your partner from tagging your knees while at the same time you are trying to get theirs. Some of us came up with some good strategies.


Swimming was much warmer today. We practiced floating on our fronts and backs and showing Ms Shaw how confident we are in the water. It was a great way to end the day.

Welcome to Room 4 2013.
There was a lot of excitement this morning as we all arrived and found where to put our bags, pencil cases and where we would be sitting. We had a fantastic day learning routines, learning class games and enjoying a swim in the pool. Our first two days at school are focused on "getting to know each other".
